Emergency!

February 22, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Are you ready for the unexpected? None of us know when the next disaster will strike ourselves and our families. How many people ever imagined a Katrina-like disaster or a Tsunami? We almost never see it coming, but we can prepare for a disaster’s eventuality.

You can buy one or more different types of emergency kits that can aid in your survival when a crisis hits.

Lifting Each Other’s Burdens

February 14, 2007 · Leave a Comment

We all go through pain in our lives. Some of us may have gone through pain and struggles alone. It is so much more difficult without someone there to, well, just be there. They may not say anything, but if they are available to just stand by our side, what a blessing from God that can be. I have lost many people in my life over the years, and I don’t know what I would do without those who love me enough to surround me with their care, or just sending me sympathy gifts from time to time.

Cary, North Carolina is Booming

February 14, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Cary is smack dab in the middle of the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill triangle, and it is proving to be THE place to live in the area. The city planners did their job well when they designed the area. North Carolina wanted to grow into a desirable and modern place to move and work, but they didn’t want to lose their home town feel. They did their due diligence in the planning of the area. I think they did a good job. Cary NC real estate is also booming in the area. If you’re looking to live in the research triangle, check it out.

Blue Ridge Mountains: Majestic and Lovely

February 14, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Are you familiar with the Blue Ridge mountains? The Blue Ridge mountains are part of the Appalachian mountain range and they form the eastern front running from Georgia to Pennsylvania. One of my sisters lives in the Northern Georgia area. They moved up there from Central Florida and they are never moving back. The area seems to be a tremendous find because many people are moving into the Northern Georgia mountains. And they are scooping up blue ridge real estate all over the place in that area.

Do you want the best hosting company to host your website? Are you having problems with your hosting company? I just went through it. I’m not sure why I decided to build a site with a hosting company I didn’t know, but, stupid me, I tried. And what a failure!

I am sticking with powweb.com. They are rock solid, they are responsive to my hosting needs and they give give give. Tons of space, tons of bandwidth and tons of other stuff. Check them out, please!

The Colts are going to DisneyLand!

February 8, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I want to go to DisneyLand too!

Orlando, Florida has grown by amazing numbers over the last twenty years. According to Census numbers, in 1980, the Orlando area had over 9 million. In 2006, the Orlando area had double that. Over 18 million! The main factor is the weather. Mildly warm temperatures most of the time. Snowbirds love it. Just about anyone who grew up scraping ice off their windshields in the morning love it.

Disney’s presence has something to do with it as well. Didn’t we all grow up with Bambi and Thumper? Why not go to live with them? Orlando Villas are all over the area now and within minutes of the theme parks. I lived down in Orlando for two winter seasons and in spite of the traffic, I did enjoy my time in the sunshine state.

Club Furniture

Since my wife and I now own our own house, we have to make choices about the furniture we buy. The question we have to ask ourselves is this:

  • buy low quality furniture and pay a lot less
  • buy high quality furniture and pay a lot more.
  • There is a third choice. Buy from Club Furniture, a high quality, low-priced manufacturer of furniture and home furnishings in North Carolina. You can’t beat it with Club Furniture!

    PLC repair

    February 2, 2007 · Leave a Comment

How many items in this world today are run with computers or computer peripherals? I am not sure there should be a distinction, but I think most see computers as those boxes that sit on our desks or under our feet, or those things we type on when we want to get away from the office and have a triple shot cappucino latte esspresso express at [insert favorite coffee shop here].

There are people and companies out there that repair all kinds of computers and computer peripherals. Programmable Logic Controllers repair– PLC repair for short — is one of those peripheral items that are in a whole host of things from kiosks to grocery store scanners.

And from now until the foreseeable future, we will need people to fix and upgrade these and other computerized items.

    Business Card Printing

    February 1, 2007 · Leave a Comment

When deciding to get business cards, here is one thing you shouldn’t do:

    Don’t print them yourselves.

Let me say it again just in case you didn’t hear it.

    Don’t print them yourselves.

Most of us have your average, run-of-the-mill printer that is good for your average printing job, but we must ask ourselves what we want to look like to our potential clients.

    Are we amateurs or professionals?

Business card printing and getting professional business cards is one of the fundamentals to a solid business plan.
